Help

If you are not familiar with navigating your way around a blog, the explanations and tips on this page may help.

The newest post (article) will always be first.  They are displayed in reverse chronological order.

If you want to glance through all the articles, you don’t have to click on the categories.  You can just scroll down the page, then click “Previous Entries” to go to the next page.

You may write comments to any post, by clicking on the “comments” link at the end of the post you wish to comment on.  You are required to put in an e-mail address, but only I will see it and I will not send you spam nor sign you up for anything.  Your first comment will have to be approved, but after that, other comments from you (when using the same name & e-mail address) will post instantly (unless it breaks one of the spam rules).  See the “About” page for rules on comments.

The latest comments are shown on the sidebar (the right column), so if you return regularly to the site, you can see what other readers have been saying.  This is very time-saving, because you don’t have to look through all the posts to see which ones have been updated with new comments.  Clicking on the name of the writer of the comment will take you to the page with the original post and the comments.

I sometimes include links to other websites in my articles, for the readers who want to read more.

There is a search feature, if you are looking for something in particular.  It’s located towards the bottom of the sidebar on the right.

The RSS link is of use to you only if you are using a “feed reader” application.

I try to write new posts on a regular basis, so if you enjoy this site, check back often.  I have a lot of posts in the works, so there won’t be any shortage of content.

The very first post (entitled “Welcome”) explains what I am trying to do with this blog.  Here’s a link to it.

If you want to send someone a link to a particular article, you can right-click on the article name and choose “Copy Shortcut” (in IE) or “Copy Link Location” (in Firefox).  Then you can paste that into an e-mail.

The Categories section is for people who are interested in only a particular topic or two, if they would prefer to not see the other posts.  Each post (article) is put in a category for such classification.  It’s not necessary to use the Categories, unless you just want to.

And last but not least, if you enjoy the site, tell your friends about it.
